Lindsey Hess

Lindsey Hess is a Development Analyst and Project Manager for GHK Cape Fear Development, as well as a Vice President for the firm’s sister company, Cape Fear Commercial. During her tenure with both firms, Lindsey has managed a number of commercial developments from underwriting to delivery and served as the Chief Investment Analyst for projects valued at more than $600 million. Her development portfolio includes everything from multifamily, class-A office and retail build-to-suits to self-storage and other specialty asset classes.

In addition to her role as the lead analyst of the underwriting team for new development projects, Lindsey serves as the financial lead on projects once in the development phase, coordinating financing and overseeing accounting matters. She also specializes in investment sales across the Southeast. With over 12 years of commercial real estate experience and background in finance, she provides a unique prospective for buyers and sellers of income producing properties. Throughout the course of her brokerage career with Cape Fear Commercial, Lindsey has participated in investment sales transactions totaling over $65 million for various property types. She also has extensive experience in leasing, representing tenants and landlords in a multitude of transactions for all property types.

Prior to joining the firms, Lindsey provided real estate asset management services for private equity funds at TriMont Real Estate Advisors in Atlanta. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City, providing external audit services to clients.

Lindsey graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting. While in college, she competed on the women’s tennis team and was an ITA Academic All-American for four years. Lindsey now serves on the Seahawk Club Board of Directors at UNCW, is a member of the Chamber of Commerce Finance Committee and participates in Cape Fear CREW, the Cape Fear region’s local chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). In her free time, she enjoys running and competing in the sport of triathlon.
